About Grace

When I first moved away from home, I thought the hardest part would be learning a new place.

But what I didn’t expect was how much it would change me.

My name is Grace, and I’m a Filipina living in the United States. Like many immigrants, my journey has been a mix of excitement, sacrifice, growth, and sometimes confusion.

Moving abroad opens doors. It brings opportunities, new experiences, and a chance to build a different future.

But it also comes with things people don’t always talk about.

Homesickness.

Financial pressure.

Trying to balance helping family back home while building your own life.

Feeling like you belong in two worlds and sometimes neither at the same time.

There were moments when I felt overwhelmed by responsibilities and expectations. Moments when I questioned whether I was doing the right thing, or whether I was losing a part of myself while trying to succeed abroad.

For a long time, I carried those feelings quietly.

Then I realized something important.

Many Filipinas and immigrants are going through the exact same journey but we rarely talk about it openly.

That’s why I created Pinay Grace Adventures.

This space is where I share the real experiences of living abroad: the lessons about money, culture, identity, and personal growth that come from building a life far away from where you started.

Through my YouTube channel and this website, I talk about things many immigrants think about every day:

• navigating life in America

• managing money and responsibilities abroad

• sending support back home

• cultural differences and identity

• personal growth and independence

• finding balance between family expectations and your own dreams

I don’t pretend to have all the answers.

But I believe that sharing real experiences, both the struggles and the lessons, can help others feel less alone on their journey.

I also create simple guides and resources designed to make immigrant life a little easier, especially for Filipinas who are just beginning their journey abroad.

If you’re living far from home, building a new life, and trying to figure things out along the way…

You’re not alone.

And your story matters too.
